Wheel of Names Alternative: A Free Wheel With Themes
Published
If you want a Wheel of Names alternative, Spintastico is a free spinner wheel with no sign-up, dozens of themes that dress the whole page, and over 100 ready-made wheels. Wheel of Names is a fine tool with a long history, so here is where each one fits.
Where Wheel of Names Is Strong
It has been around for years, and many people already know it. Its FAQ says the wheel can show up to 1,000 names at once, and it offers more than 150 music tracks and sound effects. If you run very long lists, it’s a good choice.
What Spintastico Does Differently
Themes dress the whole page, not just the slices, so a Christmas wheel or a space wheel looks the part on a projector. Over 100 wheels come already typed in, from yes or no to classroom jobs. There are no ads on the site today. A save gives your wheel a readable link, and every spin can be shared as a link to its result.
For Teachers
Wheel of Names’ FAQ says you can’t pay to remove its ads; you close them for the session or go fullscreen. Our site has no ads today, our wheel embeds in course pages, and we have step-by-step guides for Canvas, Google Sites, Google Classroom, Slides and PowerPoint. A presentation clicker spins it too.
How to Move Your List Across
Copy the names from your old wheel and paste them into ours, one per line. Your wheel is ready to spin right away, and saving it gives you a new link to put on your course page.
