Instagram Giveaway Picker: Pick a Winner on a Wheel
Published
To pick an Instagram giveaway winner on a wheel, copy your entrants’ usernames, paste them into a wheel, spin it on screen while you record, and share the result link. We don’t connect to Instagram, so you bring the list yourself.
Collect the Entrants
Go through the comments on your post and copy each person’s username into a list, one per line. Decide your rule before you start, such as one entry per person, and stick to it. A wheel holds up to 200 names, so for a very big giveaway use a tool that reads comments for you.
Spin on Camera
Followers trust what they can watch. Paste the list into the wheel, start a screen recording or go live, show the names, and press Spin. People enjoy seeing it slow down, and a clip of the spin makes a good post of its own.
Share the Result
On the winner card, press Share result. You get a link showing the entries and the winner, which you can put in your story or caption. Then message the winner, and spin again if they don’t reply in the time you set.
Pick More Than One Winner
Press Hide & Respin on the winner card to take that name off the wheel and spin again. Repeat until you have all your winners.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the wheel read my Instagram comments?
No. We don’t connect to Instagram, so nothing is shared with us from your account. You copy the names in yourself.
Is a wheel a fair way to pick a winner?
Each name has the same chance on each spin, drawn by your browser’s built-in random number generator. Everyone can watch it happen.
What should my giveaway post say?
Say how to enter, when it ends, how you’ll pick and how you’ll tell the winner. Instagram has its own rules for promotions, so read them before you post.
