Frequently Asked Questions
How does the spin the bottle game work?
The group sits in a circle and someone spins the bottle. Whoever it points at takes a turn, then spins next. Here the circle is on your screen: type the names, spin, and the bottle picks the next player.
How does the bottle spinner pick a name?
Every name has an equal chance. The pick comes from your browser’s cryptographically secure random number generator, then the bottle turns to that name.
Can I play spin the bottle with truth or dare?
Yes. Switch to Questions for a truth or Dares for a dare, and each spin shows one for the person the bottle points at. Change the switch between spins to mix them.
Is this game fine for kids?
Yes. The bottle only picks a name. The questions are about favorites and happy memories, the dares are silly and safe to do in a living room or a classroom, and the compliments are about what people do well.
How many people can play?
From 2 to 20. Type one name per line, or paste a list or a column from a spreadsheet. If you paste more than 20, the first 20 play.
Are the names saved anywhere?
No. The game runs in your browser and nothing you type is sent to our servers. The names are gone when you leave the page.
Prefer a Wheel?
Let the truth or dare wheel choose what each turn will be, or spin one of these.
